Clay transfers are very fun to use and create an instant image on unbaked clay!
These transfers are a one-time use and come on a 4in x 5in sheet.
This listing is for one transfer sheet.
The finished pairs of earrings are for reference only. If you would like to purchase any of these completed earrings, please view the listings for St. Patricks Day Earrings.
*** TIP: After baking your clay, I highly recommend to run your clay piece under water and rub your finger over the image to remove any excess residue from the water soluble paper.
It is recommended to use image transfers on white clay (or a VERY light colored clay) to attain the most vibrant coloring.
Condition your clay to ensure that the transfer paper adheres properly. If your clay is not conditioned well, there is a chance that the image will not transfer and/or adhere to the clay.
Getting started:
- Condition clay and place it onto a tile surface.
- Place the transfer paper bright color side down onto clay surface.
- Apply pressure and smooth the transfer into place with your fingers or an acrylic roller to remove any air bubbles.
Recommended method to dissolve paper backing:
- While the slab of clay is on tile surface, run it under very low-pressure running water.
- The water soluble paper backing will begin to dissolve and wash away, use your finger to gently rub away any residue.
- Cut and bake as normal.
- It is not required but I do recommend sealing the image (after baked) with a UV resin to brighten the image.
** All items come with 1 sheet. Approximate size of the sheet is 4 x 5 inches
Some images may look lighter than in the photos.
*** TIP: After baking your clay, I highly recommend to run your clay piece under water and rub your finger over the image to remove any excess residue from the water soluable paper.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, Im happy to help any way I can.
